New 'Optical Biopsy' could give surgeons instant answers during operations
NCT ID NCT04154683
Summary
This study is testing a new imaging device called Cellvizio® that allows surgeons to see tissue at a cellular level in real-time during gynecological surgeries. The goal is to see if this 'optical biopsy' can accurately identify abnormal tissue—like tumors or endometriosis—without needing to remove a physical sample for lab analysis. Researchers will compare the device's readings to traditional lab results from 80 women undergoing various gynecological procedures.
