Brain bleed breakthrough? new trial tests early keyhole surgery against standard care

Summary
This study tests whether early minimally invasive surgery (using a small skull opening to remove blood) is better than standard medical care for people with a deep brain bleed. About 600 adults aged 18-70 with a moderate-sized bleed will be randomly assigned to either surgery or usual ICU care. The goal is to see which approach leads to better recovery and survival.
