First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a quick 30-minute test for gonorrhea and chlamydia helps doctors treat patients with symptoms of these infections better than the usual method. About 100 adults with symptoms like pain or discharge took part. The goal was to see if the rapid test leads to more appropriate antibiotic use and shorter clinic visits.
