Single-Session MRI radiotherapy could speed up spinal cord compression treatment

NCT ID NCT06965101

First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether using an MRI machine to guide radiotherapy can treat metastatic spinal cord compression in just one hour-long appointment, instead of the usual two visits. About 72 adults with this condition will either get the new one-step MRI-guided treatment or standard two-step care. The goal is to see if the faster approach works just as well and improves patient comfort and convenience.
