New 2-Hour test could outsmart superbugs in veterans
NCT ID NCT02060513
Summary
This study tested a new, faster method to identify the specific bacteria causing infections in veterans and wounded service members. The goal was to see if results from this new test, available in hours instead of days, matched the accuracy of standard slower tests. Faster, accurate identification could help doctors choose the right antibiotic sooner, improving treatment and helping fight antibiotic resistance.
