10-Minute test aims to catch hidden infections on the streets

NCT ID NCT07317687

Summary

This study is testing a new, faster way to screen for HIV, hepatitis C, and syphilis in a mobile street medicine clinic. Participants can choose a rapid fingerstick test that gives results in minutes, a traditional blood draw, or no test at all. The goal is to see if the quick test makes it easier for people to get screened and connected to treatment, especially in rural West Virginia where these infections are rising.
