First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a smartphone app can encourage mothers of young children to test their homes for radon, a radioactive gas that is the second-leading cause of lung cancer. About 100 mothers of kids aged 4 or younger will get a free radon test kit and use the app. Researchers will measure changes in radon knowledge and how many kits are actually used.
