New hope for Hard-to-Treat seizures: experimental drug radiprodil enters human testing

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called radiprodil in 30 people with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) or focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) type II whose seizures have not improved with at least two other medications. The main goals are to check the drug's safety and how the body processes it, while also measuring changes in seizure frequency and behavior. Participants receive radiprodil openly (everyone gets the drug) for up to one year, with possible extension if it works well.
