First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests a shorter, more intense course of radiation given before surgery for soft tissue sarcoma in the arms, legs, or trunk. The goal is to see if this approach can better control the tumor and prevent it from coming back. About 135 adults will receive 15 radiation treatments over 3 weeks, followed by surgery 4 to 8 weeks later, and will be monitored for up to 5 years.
