First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a radiation treatment for people with long-lasting muscle tightness (spasticity) from stroke, spinal cord injury, or cerebral palsy. It uses precise beams of radiation to target nerves in the back, aiming to relax muscles. About 22 participants will be randomly assigned to get the real treatment or a fake (sham) procedure to see if it truly helps. Researchers will measure changes in muscle stiffness and quality of life over two years.
