New hope for kids with recurrent brain cancer: targeted radiation delivered to the brain
NCT ID NCT04743661
Summary
This study is testing a new combination treatment for children and young adults whose medulloblastoma or ependymoma brain tumors have come back. The main goal is to see if adding a targeted radiation treatment, delivered directly into the fluid-filled spaces of the brain, can help control the cancer and improve survival. The treatment involves attaching a radioactive particle to an antibody that seeks out the tumor cells.
