Heat treatment vs. surgery: new trial tests gentler option for hormone tumor
NCT ID NCT07470580
Summary
This study is comparing two procedures to treat a benign adrenal gland tumor that causes high blood pressure and low potassium. Researchers want to see if a less invasive heat treatment called radiofrequency ablation works as well as traditional surgery to correct the hormone imbalance. The study will enroll 134 adults with this specific condition to see which treatment is more effective and has fewer side effects.
