First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study compares two procedures to relieve chronic tailbone pain (coccydynia) that is not related to cancer. About 74 adults aged 20-70 who have not responded to standard medical treatment will be split into two groups. One group will receive conventional radiofrequency ablation (using heat) and the other will receive chemical neurolysis (using alcohol) to block pain signals. The goal is to see which method provides better and longer-lasting pain relief.
