Zapping knee nerves to stop replacement pain

NCT ID NCT05473663

Summary

This study is testing whether a procedure called radiofrequency ablation can safely reduce chronic knee pain in people who still experience pain after total knee replacement surgery. Researchers are comparing the real treatment against a sham (fake) procedure in 14 participants to see if it improves pain, daily function, and quality of life. The main goal is to determine if patients find the treatment acceptable and if it helps them reach a state where their symptoms are manageable.
