Summary
This Mayo Clinic study is testing whether low-dose radiation therapy works better than steroid injections for reducing pain and improving hand function in people with hand osteoarthritis. Researchers will enroll 165 participants aged 50+ who have significant hand pain. The study directly compares these two existing treatments to see which provides better and longer-lasting relief for daily activities.
