Zapping cancer spots could delay need for harsher drugs

NCT ID NCT06927635

Summary

This study is testing if using precise, high-dose radiation on a few spreading cancer spots can control advanced prostate cancer better than the current standard, which is to switch medications. It will compare keeping patients on their current drugs while adding radiation against switching to a new drug. The goal is to see if this approach controls the cancer longer and improves quality of life by avoiding the side effects of new medications.
