Early radiation could stop spinal fractures in cancer patients

NCT ID NCT05534321

Summary

This study is testing whether giving radiation therapy early to patients with cancer that has spread to the spine—but who have few or no symptoms—can prevent serious complications like fractures or spinal cord compression. Researchers want to see if this proactive approach reduces hospital visits and improves quality of life for people with advanced cancer. The trial will compare outcomes in patients who receive early radiation versus those who follow standard care.
