First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests three types of radiation therapy for cancer that has spread to the spine, causing pain. The goal is to find which treatment best relieves pain at 3 and 6 months. About 240 adults with spine metastases who haven't had prior radiation will be randomly assigned to standard external beam radiation, standard dose stereotactic body radiation, or a higher dose version. The main focus is on pain relief, not curing the cancer.
