Liver cancer radiation trial halted after just one patient
NCT ID NCT02200042
First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if adding focused radiation to standard chemotherapy could help people with a type of liver cancer that cannot be surgically removed. Only one person enrolled before the trial was stopped early, so no meaningful conclusions could be drawn. The approach combined two chemo drugs with or without high-energy X-rays to target tumors.
