Scientists search for clues in blood to predict dangerous radiation reactions
NCT ID NCT06826066
Summary
This study aims to understand why a small percentage of cancer patients experience unexpectedly severe side effects from radiation therapy. Researchers will compare blood samples from 40 patients who had severe reactions with those who did not. The goal is to find immune system markers that might predict who is at risk for these serious complications before treatment begins.
