Double-Punch cancer trial: radiation and immune drugs team up

NCT ID NCT04454489

Summary

This study tested whether combining a short, intense course of radiation with an immunotherapy drug could help control advanced head and neck cancer. It involved 21 adults whose cancer had returned or spread and was no longer curable with standard surgery or radiation. The goal was to see if this combination could shrink tumors, slow the cancer's growth, and be tolerated by patients.
