Precision radiation zaps recurrent cancers in early safety trial
NCT ID NCT03325634
Summary
This early-stage study tested a specialized, high-precision form of radiation therapy for women whose ovarian or uterine cancer has returned in a few specific spots. The main goal was to find the highest dose that is safe and causes manageable side effects. Researchers also wanted to see if this targeted approach could help control the returning tumors and delay the need for more chemotherapy.
