Targeted radiation tested to ease pain in advanced pancreatic cancer

NCT ID NCT05114213

Summary

This study tested whether adding a precise form of radiation therapy to standard chemotherapy could better control pain in people with advanced pancreatic cancer that has spread. Patients whose cancer was stable after initial chemo were randomly assigned to either continue chemo alone or to receive the radiation treatment between chemo cycles. The main goal was to see if this approach reduced pain levels over time.
