Precision radiation vs. standard care: a blind test for halting Cancer's advance

NCT ID NCT06918951

Summary

This study aims to see if a more precise, high-dose form of radiation (SABR) is better than standard palliative radiation at controlling cancer when it has spread to only a few new spots. About 194 adults with solid cancers that have progressed in up to five locations will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two radiation treatments. Neither the patients nor their doctors will know which treatment is given, to fairly compare how long the cancer stays controlled, quality of life, and side effects.
