Zapping scars: radiation tested as standalone keloid treatment
NCT ID NCT04722263
Summary
This small pilot study is testing if radiation therapy alone can safely treat keloids in people who cannot or choose not to have surgery. Researchers will give a short course of radiation to see if it stops the keloids from growing, shrinks them, and improves quality of life. The main goal is to check for safety and see if this approach is feasible for future research.
