Zapping the heart: One-Shot radiation offers hope for dangerous rhythms
NCT ID NCT05439031
Summary
This study is testing a single, precise dose of radiation to treat a dangerous, fast heart rhythm called ventricular tachycardia in patients who haven't been helped by standard drugs or procedures. The goal is to see if this one-time treatment can safely and effectively reduce the number of these life-threatening episodes. Researchers also want to understand exactly how the radiation works to calm the heart's electrical activity.
