Summary
This study aims to understand how radiation used during cancer surgery affects a patient's own red blood cells. Researchers will examine blood from 20 cancer surgery patients to see how different radiation doses change the cells' shape, flexibility, and ability to carry oxygen. The goal is to find the safest radiation dose for processing blood during surgery to prevent harm to the patient's red blood cells.
