Better way to place heart surgery monitoring lines?
NCT ID NCT07400627
Summary
This study aims to find which of two ultrasound-guided techniques works better for placing radial artery catheters in adult cardiac surgery patients who are expected to have difficult access. Researchers will compare the 'Direct' method (catheter over needle) with the 'Seldinger' method (catheter over guide wire) in 242 patients. The main goal is to see which technique has higher success on the first try and causes fewer complications.
