First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at 50 children having planned surgery to see if placing a small tube in the wrist artery closer to the hand or farther up the arm works better. Doctors used ultrasound to guide the tube placement and compared success rates, how long it took, and any problems. The goal was to find the safest and fastest method for continuous blood pressure monitoring during surgery.
