First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study asked over 1,000 emergency doctors in Europe what they would prescribe for a patient with severe belly pain. The goal was to see if a patient's race influences whether doctors give morphine. The study did not involve actual patients, but used a made-up case to uncover potential bias in pain management for sickle cell disease.
