Can daily habits shield RA hearts from artery stiffness?
NCT ID NCT07774507
First seen Aug 19, 2026 · Last updated Aug 21, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This observational study looks at how physical activity, sedentary time, and sleep relate to early signs of heart and blood vessel disease in adults with rheumatoid arthritis. Participants will wear activity monitors for a week, answer health questionnaires, and undergo heart and fitness assessments, with a follow-up after 12 months. The goal is to see whether daily movement patterns are linked to arterial stiffness and other cardiovascular risk indicators, which could guide future lifestyle advice for this population.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- Could inform future lifestyle recommendations to help people with rheumatoid arthritis reduce their cardiovascular risk.
- What could go wrong
- This is an observational study, so it cannot prove cause and effect. Results may not apply to all RA patients.
