One shot or weeks of pills? new study tests best way to tame painful arthritis flares

NCT ID NCT07245732

Summary

This study aims to find out if a single steroid injection works as well as a 3-week course of steroid pills for reducing the pain and stiffness of a rheumatoid arthritis (RA) flare-up. Researchers will compare the two treatments in 220 adults with RA who are having a flare. The main goal is to see which option provides better symptom relief and is more satisfactory from the patient's point of view.
