Can extra classroom lessons stop school violence before it starts?
NCT ID NCT05585918
Summary
This study tested whether adding special social skills lessons called R-CITY to a standard school curriculum could help prevent violence and improve classroom behavior. The program taught students skills like recognizing emotions, responding appropriately, building relationships, and developing resilience. Researchers compared schools using just the standard curriculum to schools using both the standard curriculum and the new R-CITY lessons to see if the extra training made a difference.
