NCT ID NCT06350643
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether an online training course for healthcare providers can improve their knowledge, attitudes, and intentions to help patients quit smoking and get screened for lung cancer. About 300 providers who are members of the National Medical Association and serve patients who smoke will take the training and complete surveys. The goal is to see if the training fills gaps in current education and encourages more referrals for lung cancer screening.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to better training programs that help more smokers quit and get screened for lung cancer early.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study measuring knowledge and attitudes, not actual patient outcomes. Results may not translate to real-world changes in smoking or cancer detection.
