First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special nerve block called the Quadro-Iliac plane block can improve recovery after laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery. About 70 adults having elective surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either the nerve block or a placebo, and their recovery quality will be measured 24 hours later. The goal is to find a better way to control pain and reduce the need for opioids and other painkillers.
