Deadly delay: study probes why q fever infections go undiagnosed
NCT ID NCT07305402
Summary
This study aims to understand a serious and often fatal complication of Q fever, a disease people can get from animals. Researchers will look back at the medical records of 400 adults in France who had infections in their blood vessels caused by the Q fever bacteria. The goal is to learn why diagnosis is often delayed, what factors predict survival, and which medical scans are most helpful for doctors.
