NCT ID NCT06923592
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new way to find and treat a type of malaria (P. vivax) that can hide in the liver and come back months later. Researchers will use a simple blood test to find people who have been infected recently, then give them a treatment to clear the hidden parasites. The goal is to reduce malaria cases and stop its spread in communities in Ethiopia and Madagascar. About 19,200 people will take part.
