First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study compares two ablation techniques for people with persistent atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat). One method isolates the pulmonary veins, while the other also targets additional areas in the heart. The goal is to see which approach better prevents the return of irregular heart rhythms. About 300 adults will take part and be followed for one year.
