New corneal implant aims to restore sight in swollen eyes

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new implant called PVEK for people with corneal swelling from Fuchs' dystrophy or after cataract surgery. About 15 adults will receive the implant and be monitored for side effects and whether they need additional treatment within 6 months. The goal is to see if the implant is safe and well-tolerated.
