NCT ID NCT07613983
First seen Jun 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether healthy adults can safely digest protein from purple bacteria. Twelve participants ate a dairy product with or without purple bacteria on separate days, and researchers measured their blood amino acid levels and other metabolic markers over four hours. The goal was to see how well the body absorbs this new protein source, not to treat any disease.
