Lung rehab boosts recovery after blood clots: new study
NCT ID NCT04615130
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 6-week outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation program helps people with post-PE syndrome (lingering symptoms after a pulmonary embolism) feel better and walk farther. About 48 adults who had a pulmonary embolism 12 to 36 weeks earlier will be randomly assigned to start rehab right away or wait. The main goal is to see if walking distance improves. This is not a cure, but aims to ease symptoms and improve daily life.
