New gel helps stop bleeding in major aortic surgery

Summary

This study watches 100 adults having open surgery for a bulging or blocked abdominal aorta. Doctors use a gel called PuraBond to help stop bleeding from stitches. The goal is to measure how quickly bleeding stops after the gel is applied. This is an observational study, not a test of a new treatment.
