Doctors test pupil scans to head off dangerous CAR-T therapy side effects

NCT ID NCT06144151

Summary

This study is testing whether measuring changes in a patient's pupil size and reaction can predict when serious neurological side effects might start after they receive CAR-T cell therapy for lymphoma. Researchers will monitor 100 adult patients receiving this cancer treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center using a special device called a pupillometer. The goal is to find an early warning sign so doctors can intervene sooner if brain-related side effects develop.
