Liver pump may boost survival in colorectal cancer patients

Summary
This study tests whether adding a chemotherapy pump that delivers drugs directly to the liver (hepatic arterial infusion) to standard chemotherapy helps people with colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver and cannot be removed by surgery. About 408 adults with cancer only in the liver will be randomly assigned to get standard chemo alone or standard chemo plus the pump. The goal is to see if the pump helps people live longer and keeps the cancer from growing.
