New heart procedure tested for common irregular heartbeat

NCT ID NCT05462145

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called the Globe® Pulsed Field System to treat people with symptomatic atrial fibrillation, a common type of irregular heartbeat. The research involves 549 participants whose symptoms haven't improved with standard medications. Doctors will use this system to perform a heart procedure called ablation and then monitor patients for one year to see if it safely reduces their irregular heart rhythms.
