This study looks at whether a non-invasive measurement called pulse wave transit time (PWTT) can detect when a nerve block has taken effect. Researchers will monitor 25 patients having hand surgery under an infraclavicular block. PWTT and other vital signs will be recorded before and after the block to see if changes in blood vessel tone reliably indicate successful sympathetic blockade.
