Sound waves vs. artery calcium: new device aims to restore leg blood flow

NCT ID NCT06457685

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called the Pulse IVL System. It uses sound wave energy to break up hard calcium deposits inside the leg arteries of people with peripheral artery disease (PAD), aiming to open the vessels and improve blood flow. About 115 participants with moderate to severe artery calcification will have the procedure and be followed for 6 months to check safety and how well it works.
