New heart Procedure's hidden effects revealed in imaging study

NCT ID NCT07395089

Summary

This study aims to understand how a newer heart procedure called pulse-field ablation changes the structure of the heart's upper chambers (atria) in people with atrial fibrillation. Researchers will compare detailed CT scans taken before and after the procedure in 200 patients to see if the heart shrinks or thins in a beneficial way. The goal is to learn if these structural changes can help predict whether the irregular heartbeat might return.
