Scientists hunt for toothache clues in dental fluids

NCT ID NCT06938191

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at certain proteins in the fluid and tissue of teeth to see if they differ between healthy teeth and those with a painful tooth nerve condition called irreversible pulpitis. Researchers will collect samples from 70 adults during routine dental procedures. The goal is to better understand the biology of tooth pain, not to test a new treatment.
