First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests a special dental liner placed directly on exposed tooth pulp (the soft inner part) caused by deep cavities, trauma, or accidents during dental work. The goal is to keep the tooth alive and healthy without needing a root canal. About 350 people aged 7 and older with one affected permanent tooth will be followed for up to 5 years to see if the pulp stays healthy.
